This is a direct like-for-like comparison of the Co-Operative Essential Funeral in terms of the level of service being provided. There are certain restrictions on date and time, products and services available. A Guide to Funeral Costs

In our opinion, there is so much more to a funeral service than the cost. We feel that we charge a fair price for our services which we feel are second to none. That said, we are aware that some families may be concerned by the cost of a funeral.  This is why everything that we do is put together on a bespoke basis, whether the service is to be very simple or more involved.

There are several national corporate funeral directors that have premises locally, such as the Co-Operative and Funeral Partners (who own Maunders in Paignton, Drakes of Torbay and Torbay & District Funeral Service in Torquay).

Many other providers appear to offer low cost funeral options. Be aware that many of their ‘extra’ charges are significantly more expensive, meaning the price advertised is often far from the price payable.

Stockman & Loram are here to help you by tailoring a funeral service to suit all requirements and budgets. Whether you are wishing to arrange very simple cremation or a more personal farewell, we can provide a clear breakdown of the likely costs that will be applicable.  We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to our families that we look after, which has resulted in our fantastic reputation, gained over four generations.

Stockman & Loram treat every individual that we look after as if they were one of our own family. Nothing is too much trouble. You can tailor the funeral with a wide range of various options to make sure that the funeral is personal, meaningful and intimate..

Whilst we don’t routinely price match with other companies, we are always happy to discuss arrangements. Often the prices that other firms quote are not a true reflection of what you require as many only offer package style funerals.

We strongly encourage you to come and discuss your wishes with us, even if preliminary enquiries have been made with another company. So many families are amazed at the difference in how we do things. Contact Stockman & Loram on 01803 882385 to arrange a no obligation meeting or to discuss funeral costs and options.
