Stockman & Loram can arrange cremations at Torquay Crematorium, Exeter & Devon Crematorium, East Devon Crematorium and others on request. Cremation has become commonplace locally due to the fact there are no new graves available in Brixham or Paignton.
Torquay Crematorium facilitates cremations in Torquay. Their Chapel can also be used when having a burial in Torquay Cemetery. The Torquay Crematorium has cremation times available from 9.00am through to 4.15pm. The whole funeral can start and finish in the Torquay Crematorium with 45 minutes allocated to each service. However this does include getting mourners into and out of the Chapel so a service time of around 35 minutes is more realistic. Additional chapel is available if required at additional cost (charged by the Torquay Crematorium).
The Torquay Crematorium can also be used only for the committal. This is usually attended after a Church Funeral by the immediate family. Unfortunately a full service booking is still required even though the time spent at the Torquay Crematorium may only be a few moments.
There is also a cemetery where cremated remains can be buried. Cremated remains can also be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance. Memorial plaques can be put on burial plots to commemorate the deceased. Stockman & Loram are able to arrange all the required documentation for memorials in Torquay Cemetery. We liaise with excellent independent monumental masons such as Shrives of Brixham and Williams & Triggs of Newton Abbot.
